More storage space and open-plan indoor/outdoor living areas were at the top of our client’s wish list. This new first floor addition ticked all the boxes when it came to improving the overall function of the existing home.
This existing single storey brick home in Cranebrook consisted of four bedrooms and two separate living areas. The design brief provided by the clients was to create a one large open plan living area that was to connect with an outdoor alfresco area. Due to the growing family, a new first floor addition was proposed to consist of four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large open retreat area. The clients also wanted to modernise the front façade so that it would integrate with the new first floor addition so a mix of external finishes was used to help achieve this.
